Abstract: Against the background of intensifying global scientific and technological compe⁃ tition, China's key core technologies are increasingly confronting a severe "chokehold" dilemma. Given the obsolescence of traditional paths that are no longer capable of addressing the urgent need for independent control of core technologies, there is an imperative necessity to systemati⁃ cally sort out the research context, integrate fragmented findings, and build a coherent theoreti⁃ cal framework. Therefore, this study takes "connotative characteristics—identification methods —influencing factors—mechanism paths" as its main line, conducting a systematic combing of key core technology research. Firstly, it defines its multi-dimensional connotations from the macro, medium, and micro levels and analyzes the five inherent characteristics: the quasi-public nature of technical value, systematic complexity, knowledge comprehensiveness, dynamic con⁃ trol, and ecological dependence. Then, the study verifies this conceptual system using typical cases from fields. It further compares the applicability and limitations of qualitative and quantita⁃ tive identification methods. Additionally, it reveals the evolutionary trend of identification meth⁃ ods toward multi-source integration and intelligence. Next, the study analyzes key breakthrough factors from two dimensions: internal enterprise characteristics and external support. On this ba⁃ sis, it refines two core mechanisms: the knowledge flow coordination mechanism and the organi⁃ zational governance adaptation mechanism. It also summarizes four driving paths: resource inte⁃ gration, ecological coordination, enterprise leadership, and government guidance. Ultimately, this study constructs an integrated framework of "theoretical cognition—methodological tools— practical paths". Through the logical closed loop of "theoretical construction—case verification —path induction", it integrates existing achievements, addresses the deficiencies of scattered concepts and fragmented frameworks in current research, and provides theoretical references for academic exploration, practical guidance for enterprise innovation, and policy-making support for governments.
